October Nomination Deadline
The deadline to submit nominations for October is Friday, 10/20. Please keep in mind that all nominations must be at least 4 sentences and each school is limited to 15 students a month. If you are interested in seeing what a Top 10 Winner nomination looks like, please click on the Awards Program/Top 10 Winners tab. There is also a handy nomination tip sheet which can be found in the Awards Program/School Info tab.
Domestic Violence Phone Collection
DTRT is once again partnering with Verizon Wireless to collect old cell phones to help victims of domestic violence. We will be collecting phones all throughout the month. If you have any old cell phones please stop by our table at the counselors meetings in November and drop them off. Help us spread the word throughout your school!
September Nominations
The September nominations were sent out Monday 10/16. They should be getting to you by next week. Charter schools must send someone to the school mail facility to retrieve their box.
DTRT Coordinator T-shirt
If your school submitted at least one nomination for September and you registered by the September deadline of 9/20, you will be receiving a free DTRT T-shirt inside your box. On the printout included in your box there will be a t-shirt count. Your shirt will have a C next to the number. For ex: S=3, M=5, L=1C (your shirt is the Large)
DTRT Calendar Poster Twitter Drawing
Thank you to all those who entered our Twitter drawing by posting a photo of their poster and tagging us on Twitter. Congratulations to Jackie Garcia from Hialeah Gardens Middle for being the randomly selected winner and winning a $50 Visa gift card!
DTRT Presentations
We are still available to do a brief presentation to your teachers at a faculty meeting to encourage nominations. Please contact us to schedule if interested.
